About

Public memory, kept in public

Woke Was Crazy is an evidence-led archive of a decade of institutional decisions and their consequences. It exists so that the record survives the retelling.

Why an archive

Arguments move on quickly. Documents do not. The purpose here is narrow and durable: keep what was decided, keep what was published afterwards, keep what people say it did to them, and keep them clearly separated.

What this is not

It is not a campaign against individuals, a harassment tool, or a place for unsourced assertion. Records that cannot be evidenced are not published, however satisfying they might be.

Who runs it

A small editorial team, with named contributors listed on the records they work on. The operating entity and named editorial contacts will be published before the archive opens for submissions at scale.

Funding

Reader support and merchandise. No advertising, and no donor with editorial input. Funding sources are disclosed in the footer of every page.

The rules we hold ourselves to are in the Never Again principles and the editorial standards.
