What we hold, and why

What we collect

• Email addresses submitted to the dispatch list, with the page they were submitted from.
• Story submissions: the account itself, contact details, and your identity preference.
• Nominations and correction requests, including any contact address you supply.

Why

To send the dispatch you asked for, to verify accounts before publication, and to reach you for consent. Nothing is sold, rented or shared with advertisers or political organisations.

Contributor data

Story submissions are treated as confidential. They are not published, quoted or attributed without your written agreement, and you can ask for them to be deleted at any time.

Retention

Dispatch subscriptions are held until you unsubscribe. Submissions are held while a record is under review and, once published, for as long as the record exists so the change log stays intact.
